Our wireless surveys are typically delivered in three complementary phases:
PREDICTIVE SURVEY (Software-Based)
A Predictive Survey is used in the early design phase of a WLAN project, typically for new deployments or buildings under construction. Using advanced RF planning software combined with our engineering expertise, we simulate coverage, capacity, and interference based on the building design and intended use.
It is the combination of advanced modelling tools and our real-world wireless expertise that ensures accurate, reliable results that go beyond software-only predictions. This provides a solid foundation for access point placement, high-level network design decisions, and budget planning before any physical installation takes place. It can be used as a standalone service for initial design and budgeting, or as the first phase of a complete WLAN deployment, ideally followed by a Pre-Installation Survey.
PRE-INSTALLATION SURVEY (On-Site)
A Pre-Installation Survey is performed on-site to validate and refine the wireless design in the real environment before deployment. Using the intended access point technology, we conduct live RF measurements to accurately assess coverage, interference, and site-specific conditions.
This provides the highest level of design certainty and the most reliable insight into real-world performance prior to installation. The result is a validated deployment design with precise AP locations, mounting guidance, and deployment recommendations.
We handle cabling and access point installation, ensuring optimal routing and a fully coordinated deployment.
VALIDATION SURVEY (On-Site)
A Validation Survey confirms that your existing or newly installed wireless network meets performance requirements across all areas. We thoroughly test coverage, throughput, interference, and signal quality, providing heatmaps and detailed performance analysis to identify any dead spots, coverage gaps, or problem areas.
The output highlights coverage gaps and optimization opportunities, ensuring the network operates as intended. Our comprehensive report includes specific recommendations for optimization, whether through configuration adjustments, AP repositioning, or interference mitigation. This is the ideal final phase to validate and fine-tune WLAN performance.
A Validation Survey can also serve as a formal post-deployment verification, providing a clear confirmation that the wireless network is operating according to design, effectively a final “stamp of approval” that the deployment is complete and performing as intended.
