Pre-installation site surveys

The predictive RF coverage analysis survey differs to a live Wireless LAN site survey. Rather than taking live, on-site measurements from the survey access points, we instead harness planner estimation software and subsequently combine this with our expertise to design a Wireless LAN access point layout for the listed Wireless LAN applications. No on-site action is required.

Our Gold site survey provides real time measurements, which are used to determine the total number and positioning of the access points. During measurement, data points are captured in order to generate heat maps per access point. These heat maps provide an illustration of the RF propagation (fluctuating signals) accurate to the survey timestamp.

Just like our Gold site survey, the Silver site survey provides real time measurements, which determine the total number and positioning of access points. Whilst data points are not captured to generate heat maps per access point with survey timestamp, the Silver report does display heat maps for rogue access points/signals.

A Bronze site survey provides an installation guideline report as per the Gold and Silver site surveys. It also provides a detailed indication of where the access points should be installed. The key difference is that the Bronze site survey doesn’t display additional reports. Heat maps for rogue access points and signals, and heat maps for signal strength coverage are therefore not included in this type of survey.
